Steven Cutts
Curriculum Coordinator
Steven Cutts was
a member of the committee that shaped the inaugural year of the School of
Public Service, and he will again be a part of the staff in the summer of
2004.
A veteran of nearly three decades as a teacher and administrator in
independent schools, Mr. Cutts is on the faculty of nearby Georgetown Day
School as a member of the History and Social Science Department. He teaches
United States history (including the Advanced Placement course) and has
offered a senior elective entitled "History in Film, Film in History.” He
teaches, as well, a ninth grade course which covers African, Chinese, and
Middle Eastern history.
He is married to Martha C. Cutts, the head of the upper school at St. Albans’
coordinate school, The National Cathedral School for Girls.
Mr. Cutts received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University. He holds
graduate degrees from the University of Connecticut and Yale University.
Although he has lived in The Nation’s Capital for twelve years, Mr. Cutts
still looks at region through the eyes of a tourist and loves introducing
visitors to all that Washington D.C. has to offer.
